Bay Street is the city’s shopping hub featuring exquisite, international name brand stores such as Coach, Gucci , Versace and Fendi amidst native souvenir nooks and the famous straw market. Many sought-after items such as fragrances, liquor and jewelry are duty free. Be sure to stop by John Bull’s flagship store in the heart of Bay Street. They sell just about every top international brand imaginable in fine watches, jewelry, leather goods, fragrances, photography, eyewear and more. Think Rolex, Cartier, Ralph Lauren and Nikon. This shopping plaza is the perfect selection of stores and eateries conveniently located near to the harbour and marinas, just a couple minutes drive from the Paradise Island Bridge and the eastern communities. It features a City Market grocery store, drug store, book/gift store and a home goods centre. Clothing store, Rubins, sells brands such as Jones New York, Levi’s and Dockers and John Bull is the place for name brand fragrances, jewellery, watches and more—it is the official Rolex retailer in the Bahamas. Mall at Marathon
This mall is the most popular of the two in Nassau. It has over 100 stores, kiosks and boutiques along with a movie theatre and food court. Other eateries and a bank are also on the property. Nassau’s largest department store, Kelly’s Home Centre, is located here. Kelly’s stocks everything from toys to home appliances and from hardware to fine china. Solomon’s SuperCenter is on Old Trail Road, across the highway from The Mall at Marathon. This “Wal-Mart” type store houses a full grocery selection and deli as well as clothing, toiletries, home items and electronics. Conveniently open Mon-Thurs from 7:30am-9pm and Fri-Sat, 7am-10pm.
